I would like to replace a broken bunk without removing the boat from the trailer.
Nearest water is 50 mi.

Can I jack up one side of a fiberglass Tri-hull to replace the bunk?

Thanks for any replies.

Attach trailer to tow vehicle for security.
Also block the wheels.

Jack it up, using a 2x6 to spread the weaght out.
Block it up, or use jack stands before getting under there to work on it.

Yep what Roscoe said. I replaced all the bunks on mine using this method. I would recommend covering the 2x6 with carpet scrap if you have some. The 2x6 should be about the length of one of your bunks.

Re: Replacing a broken bunk

I recently saw a trailer at the ramp with recycled lumber bunks. These were made from material simular to the bench seat boards made from recycled plastics. They were about 2.5X8 x 12' and angled on the top. Any Idea where you can buy them? They looked like the perfect material. Slippery when wet, non rotting and no carpet needed :)
