Replacing '84 50HP Tilt/Trim Motor...Fluid / Wire Question

Hi All,

I am a newbie, but managed to replace the trim/tilt motor with little trouble yesterday. A couple of quick questions.

1. The outboard has White / Black wires, where the tilt/trim motor has Blue/Green.....what matches up with what?

2. It has a reddish fluid in it, should I drain as much as I can (what is best way?) and put new stuff in? What should I put in for tilt/trim fluid?
