I bought an old boat (1979 MonArk 15ft) with rack and pinion steering. The helm is very worn and has a lot of play. As far as I can tell, it is a Morse SH5098P, which is obsolete.
1. What helm should I get to replace it?
2. Do I have to get a new steering cable too? The old one is working OK, so I don't want to spend the money on a new one unless I have to.
