Replacement Tires of Ranger Trail Trailer

Hi. I have a 1994 Ranger trail trailer with the original Goodyear Marathon tires on it. The tread is good and the tires actually look ok, but I am thinking of replacing them due to their age. Any recommendations for replacement tires other than the Marothons?

Ummm - 13 years old, still look good, and you are asking us what you should buy? You can probably find cheaper tires anywhere. If you are wondering about better tires that are less expensive, that's an invitation to a long, never ending discussion about tires. I run the same tire and if one went to tire heaven tomorrow it would get replaced with exactly the same type.

13 years is great service, must be stored out of the sun. go with what you know works.

A tire that looks good from the outside means nothing on the condition of the tire. A tire that is over 5 years old should be replaced.

Thanks for the replies. I guess this is a "no-brainer" with 13 years of service with these. I had read a lot of negatives about the Marathons and that is why I asked. I do store this out of the sun almost all year round. I guess you all think I should stay with the Goodyears. I have no problem with that. Thanks again for the help.

The Towmaster radials by Greenball have given me good service. Have never had a failure towing mountain and desert. They are also supposedly manufactured by Goodyear among others.
