Replacement tank questions.....

Thought about replacing the original steel fuel tank in my 69 Silverline OB. My fuel gauge either reads full or empty no matter how much fuel is in there and I've already replaced the sending unit/float with no difference. Figured that I'd rather have a larger plastic tank instead and hoped that I could perhaps see the fuel level or it would come with a built-in gauge. Here's my dilemma: It has a fill hose between the above-deck screw cap and the tank. The tank is located behind the seat pictured on the right, and the fill cap is seen directly above the tank. The area is not air-tight as that is just a flap of vinyl between the seats. I suppose that I could attach another gauge to the sending unit to test it, but I'd rather have a larger tank anyway. Thoughts?

Ayuh,.... Google up a company called Ocean Link,....
They make, literally 1,000s of different plastic tanks for boats,...
Every size, 'n configuration you can imagine,....
