I have a roller trailer (19' center console) and want to replace all the rollers. They are in good condition, but are black rubber and leave streaks on the hull. I am going to replace them all with the yellow poly rollers. I have seen solid poly rollers out there and I have also seen a plastic hubbed/poly covered roller out there. Bass Pro has a kit with 4 of the plastic/poly rollers with hardware for about $30 a kit. (I'll need 4 kits- 16 rollers). They are 5" rollers.

The solid poly rollers I have found are about $9 each and would cost $144 for all 16, plus another $20 or so for hardware. These are 4" rollers. Do you think the solid would outperform the plastic/poly rollers? Better cushion? Better wear? Which one and why?

I'll be hauling my boat to Florida in May and will be mooring the boat, leaving my trailer emtpy and available for repairs. So, it isn't a heart attack right now. Just chime in if you have any thoughts.

UFM82
