My brother gave me his old boat, it s a 16 ft fibreglass gd simpson barretta with a 1993 force 90 mercury outboard. What size and pitch prop should I get? It came with no prop. Help would be greatly appreciatted.
Since you haven't had any responses I'll try a guess with a 15" pitch.This would be a starting point and
you shouldn't make any changes without a tach and a gps for speed.
Perhaps you could find a dealer that will let you try props with your intention to buy.
Unfortunately there is a limited supply of Force props.
or look at a 19 pitch if you just use the boat with a very light load
PS - if you have the thrust washer and nut, etc... there is another michigan prop that will fit. I would verify everyting with iboats.com if you order one from there.
