I am trying to find replacement leaf springs for my boat trailer. I currently have a 7-leaf 32in wide eye to hook end spring on my trailer but i am not sure if it is the correct one for my trailer. The axle is rated for 3500lbs.
Do I need to find the same ones that are on there or can I get smaller ones?

Thanks, unless your going to change the way they attach, you have to stick with slipper spring type. Can find ones which are lighter load, but would need 1750 lb each for a 3500 axle. Need the length and then choose

There are several sites, this is just the first one that came up

What would be the correct size to buy?
From the eye it is 32in to the end of the hook, and it is 30in to the end of the bracket.

It might be a 30 inch spring, since there is weight on it and its stretched out some.

I would suggest call one of the places and ask. Most of the places I'm looking at go up to 30 inch. None list a 33 and one list a 32

Measure between the bolts that hold the ends of the springs. That should be the spring length. You want the spring to be in contact with both bolts, with no load on the trailer.

Slipper springs are pretty common. Shop around There is a place in Delaware that is pretty good (eastern Trailer??). They may have OEM replacements, if the trailer is a popular one.
