I need to replace the ignition switch on my pontoon boat running a Johnson 70 ('94). The closest thing I can find in the IBoat Store is Part # 18-1801. Still, they don't picture a straight shot at the pins and it's hard to tell if it's the correct one. Any help with determining the correct part would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Replacement ignition switch for '94 Johnson 70

Some depends on where/how the switch is mounted. The switch that goes in the "regular" side mount control is part number 393301, replaced by 508180, which is Sierra MP39760. I didn't follow through on the 18-1801, but it appears that it has a longer shank and ?

I guess the question is how is it mounted and where?

You can look up the correct OEM number on BRPs website at "http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=E" without the quotation marks. Click on OB accessories on the product dropdown list.
