I was digging around in the shop today after fiddling around making a new pedestal for my pilot's seat in the boat and I found an old Chilton 6-gallon plastic tank. Cleaned it out and it's ready to go, except the gauge on the cap is too rusty to use. I can fab up a new pickup tube, but does anyone know where I can get a replacement vented gas cap? I see them for Moeller tanks in the mall/store here on Iboats...but would a Moeller cap fit an old Chilton tank? Short of that working...anyone got an old vented cap for a plastic tank laying around that you could part with? Seems like a shame to waste a perfectly good tank for lack of a cap.
