Replacement Fuel tank...

I am rebuilding my 1978 22' SS and am wanting to put a new fuel tank in it. I'm looking for anyone who has but a tank down the middle of the boat infront of the motor (I/O). I have looked all over the web and can not find one that would fit in the belly of my boat.

Any ideas or help would be great.

Well, check out my rebuild thread in my signature to see what I am up to. We would have basically the same hull. I have have only given my tank a dry fit so far but it should work out great! Welcome!

How many gallons is your tank? That is exactly what I'm looking for! Want to make another one?

I have seen some tanks at westmarine, not sure if they will fit. I would put the tank as far forward as possible. most starcrafts are light in the front and heavy in the back.
I would opt for a composit/plastic tank if possible.
