If you were going to replace an engine, who would you purchase from? I'd read and heard some bad comments about SBT. What about PMC North America or others? If you recommend someone do they have a site you can go to?

Re: Replacement engines

In spite of what a few people say, SBT is the only way to go. Nobody else offers a 1 year, NO FAULT warranty. I've bought 3 engines from them with no problems at all. One of the engines is over 5 years old and gets beat on every weekend. ( hope I didn't just jinx it! ) :) Also, my experience with customer service has been outstanding. Go to sbtontheweb.com Just be sure to find out why it blew in the first place and fix it, or you will be using thier warranty.

Re: Replacement engines

I wish I could say the same but I have had the worst results anyone could imagine with a 787 engine they lasted about 3 or 4 months and each one snapped a ring, the last one wasn't under warranty any longer so I tore it down and fixed it myself, seems the lock pin that keeps the rings from moving fell out and the ring snagged a port, fortunately I was going slow and no damge was done to the cylinder walls , I checked on the front piston and a piece of the top ring was already missing on that one as well so who knows it is just a matter of luck.
