I just recently purchased this boat/motor and had a question.

I just toook it to a local boat landing and I noticed half way there that the motor had falled from the raised position. I pulled over and the bolt that goes into the bracket to hold up the motot (I apologize I don't know the name for this, however I do know that it isn't power tilt/trim) was gone, and the bracket was bent. I was wondering if you could tell me what this bracket is called so I can try to find a replacement bolt, or if there is a better solution that I should be looking into for replacing this.

Thanks in advance for your time/knowledge

Welcome to iboats.

That bracket is really only meant to be used on the water, or in the driveway.

For trailering down the road, you want to support the motor with a "trailering clip."
#24 in the picture below, about $40 from any Mercury dealer.
It might be best to also use a transom saver to stop any motion.

Part number F5H216 TRAILERING TILT LOCK

As for the broken/missing part, it is also available from any Merc dealer.

Good Luck, happy boating.
