Force 120 wouldn't start. Didn't have time to fix myself, so brought it to the shop. Said Stator was bad and that checked with what I read on here from all of you wonderful people.<br /><br />$300 later, put it in the water this AM. Started as if the battery was almost dead. But got it running. Idle was very fast -- upwards of 2K RPM. Also very rough running. Put it gear and it would not accelerate at all. When I got it home, didn't see any binding linkage to the throttles, and when I started it with my clams attached, the idle started to run away on me. Shut it down when it hit 3K RPM. Any ideas??<br /><br />The manual I just ordered is still on the way. So, if you pass me any advise, appreciate a little help on where to find the parts on the engine that are referred to. <br /><br />Obviously new to this outboard motor stuff. But,am rapidly learning a lot from this sight.
