Can you put an outboard trottle on an inboard motor boat? I ask this because everyplace I look i really only see outboard motor throttles.

You need a throttle that is compatible with the motor/drive you have. It doesn't matter if it is outboard, sterndrive or inboard.

So what do you have?

Are you talking straight inboard, or maybe I/O?
As far as installing an outboard control for either, I don't think I'd try, but it might be possible with the right one.

If all you are seeing is outboard controls, you're looking in the wrong place.

A google search may lead you to a wider selection than what you are seeing?

I have an mercruiser alpha one. Still can't get the dang throttle off the screws are stripped on back. So figured I might have to rip it off and get a new one, but wanted to get a more updated one instead of this 1989 one.

MerCruiser Alpha one drives are one of the most common engine/drive package in the boating world. You will not have any trouble getting a compatible control.
