My regulator is charging the battery with + 16 Volt.
Therefore I bought a new regulator, a CDI partnr. 197-6G5-A0.
I find it difficult to understand CDI's guide to replace the original Yamaha regulator with this CDI reglator. See the attached file
.http://www.cdielectronics.com/InstallSheet/197-6G5-A0.pdf
From my original regulator leaves 3 wires from the +terminal(2 thin and one thick), all go to the engine harness. I can follow the thick red wire to the starter solenoid, but I can't follow the 2 thin wires.
Out of the CDI regulator goes 2 red wires. One thick and one thin. How shall I connect the original red wires with the CDI regulator?
Why is there 2 red wires out of the CDI regulator.?
I assume the thick wire is the charging wire?
Thank you for your help.
