i need to change a worn bearing and oil seal on my 1979 mariner 28 (yamaha) prop shaft as it was damaged by an out of balance prop. i have taken the lower unit off to change the pump impeller so it should be easy to work on. the prop is also off. i can't see how the bearing is removed though. does the retaining piece unscrew? will i need to have the bearing pressed off and the new one pressed on again? grateful for any help.
