Replace my "stuck gear case" with a different boat?

I am thinking about replacing my StarCraft ss 16 and evinrude 55HP with another boat so I can fish now. Then I would repair if possible or get another motor at my leisure this winter for my SS and sell it. (see my thread "stuck gear case" in the evinrude section)

What would you guys think about some of these boats? I guess they are probably overpriced.

What should I look for when I go look at some of these, and what do you use as a fair valuation guide for these older boats? ( I know some things like obvious cosmetics, soft floors, transoms, dents, etc and of course motor issues and not having dropped the gear case for 16 years and run in salt, like mine)

I saw an 18 ft Crestliner with 120 evinrude for $4600, that looked nice, but it disappeared. I Maybe sold. I sent the guy an email and he removed his boat. Ha, ha. I am not sure about Crestliner. StarCraft has been okay for me. Good design for fishing I think.

This one is good looking but probably has as many engine problems as I already have;

22' STARCRAFT ALUMINUM BOAT

What about these:

18' Starcraft boat and trailer

WTT 18ft. aluminum Fishing Boat for Camper trailer

18' Center Consule with 90 HSPWR Mercury Outboard

This one may be pretty similar to my current one;

16' Starcraft*PRICE DROP-ACT FAST*

I appreciate any feedback or suggestions! Thanks, Bruce

Okay, I went ahead and ordered parts for my motor and will just tough it out for a while till I get it going again, or get out the 12 gauge, as a method of repair I noticed someone else was about to use. Ha, ha!

The guy with the Crestliner called to tell me he sold it to the first caller, sight unseen, full $4600. I sort wish I had called sooner on that one. Sure did look nice in the pics.

Anyway, thanks to all for taking the time to look at this question. Could just delete the whole thing I guess. Not too helpful for anyone and the links wont work pretty soon, too.

Later, Bruce
