Newbie - finally did the dreaded dinging of the prop........sigh
noticed a 3/4 crack on the trailing edge of one of the props (near the hub?-correct word?).

I have read some where that small cracks were repaired with a special epoxy?

Re: repairable crack

OK, this just my opinion, but its that there is not really such a thing as a repairable crack in a prop, especially right next to the hub. Its a good chance that the blade is bent and the crack is far bigger than the part you can see. If it was me and someone insists that they can repair it as good as new, with a guarantee, for a reasonable price. I would still get a new prop and keep the repaired one in the boat for emergencies.

I agree with the above post. From what it would cost to repair, spend an extra few bucks and just get a brand new prop. Use that cracked one for a garage decoration or emergency spare.

You could try a cheap $5 fix using JB Weld, but your prop would likely be out of balance.

JB weld is way overrated. That stuff is useless. I would buy a new prop and keep the old one for a spare

Thanks for the quick replies. Out on vacation for the next week and unable to get a new prop. When we were out yesterday, did not notice any vibration.

Its not the vibration so much as the possiblity that the whole blade could snap off at full throttle.
