With a hand help propane torch with a blow torch tip, apply heat to the outer ring area and also to the inner "O Ring seal ring area. Those two areas are prone to corrosion.

dont you have a big snap ring in there????

I know many lower untis had one or two huge snap rings holding the carrier in, on my 95 115 they just had a few bolts and retainers...

Take a look down in there and see if you see the holes in the snap ring!!!

good luck

The snap rings hold in the plate that the four bolts go into to hold the bearing carrier in. As long as they are out, use a good puller and plenty of heat.

post the exact model number and the BRP exploded diagram will tell us if you have them or not!!

actually you might have them, but you dont need to removed them until after the carrier is out....

which is either 2 bolts up front or four bolts down deep.

so you just got to work at it some more...

good luck

If you took four bolts out of the carrier you will find some snap rings.

Yes. Pretty hard to get the snap rings out before removing the carrier bearing unless you know something I don't. LOL.
