removing swivel seat smokercraft

Hello
I bought a Big Fisherman 1985 awhile back. I need to get behind the battery and discovered the seats don't just lift up and move from plate to plate. There are 3 seats and they are the same. Is there trick to removing them or what.

For anyone else having this problem , I solved it.
W_D 40 and a big Channel lock pliers. My guess is they have never been moved from new.
