Removing Stern Bracket Pivot Pin

Motor in signature. Just making sure that the pivot pin does indeed press out. I'm having a heck of a time getting it to budge. Perhaps I might heat the bracket up a bit. Any other ideas? Thanks.

According to the parts breakdown, it looks like it should just come out, try some heat.

The pin pressed out pretty easily with a balljoint press. That is at least the 2nd time that I've used an automotive balljoint press on this engine. Advance Auto loans them for free, so it's quite a good deal.

Aw heck, that one is clean and pretty. You should try getting those things out after it has been in salt water.
