I bought a 97 21' kenner and they had sprayed what looks like grey bed liner on the whole inside of the boat which I thought would be a good thing. Well its nothing but problems. hot on your feet, everything sticks to it when its hot , impossible to clean.
Anyway I want it gone! does anybody know what to use to strip it out or what has to be done?

Either light the boat on fire, carpet over it or remove the decking. If it is bedliner then it doesn't come off.

This is the antithesis of so many threads it should be required reading IMO. Every six months someone posts the brilliant idea to coat the bottom of his boat with truck bed liner and is absolutely intransigent no matter how many try to talk him out of it.

Just the ways that I mentioned. You might be able to scrape some of it up, but anything capable of chemically removing it isn't going to be something you want to soak your boat in.

Before you do anything I'd suggest checking with the manufacturer. Maybe they'll pleasantly surprise you. Good luck.

It's like you read my mind.

Try some laquer thinner. If that doesn't work, that stuff is on there.

FWIW - I put interlocking foam floor tiles on some of my boat floors. Nice under foot, closed cell doesn't absorb water, easy clean, cut to size. At most home improvement stores -- but in the tool/garage section. If you have a Big Lots store by you, they have 24"x24" squares in the tool area. Cost $40 for a 21' boat.

Soaking a boat in lacquer thinner? You are back to my original suggestion of setting it on fire ;)
