removing prop

i have a 1977 55hp johnson and i,m trying to take the prop off. i have the nut and the washer off but the prop still won't come off .i tryed using a block of wood and a hammer.

Soak it real good in PB Blaster. Let it sit for a few hours and try the wood/hammer again.

Maybe you should try renting a universal gear type puller from Autozone.

Bam, Bam and it's off

the prop goes into the engine so i cant get the arms to grab on anything
