Removing prop shaft volvo 280

Hi guys does anyone have any tips on getting the prop shaft out of my 1983 Volvo 280 Outdrive?

I have a manual and have followed instructions, attached a slide hammer to the prop shaft and it still won't budge.

Has anyone run into this problem?
