I am tearing out the old carpet on my galaxy and am having trouble getting the old glue off the deck. Is there a "magic" chemical that will work better than scraping this all off. I know it will be hidden again but i hate to scratch the glass.

A rag soaked with lacquer thinner and lots of elbow grease....if it starts to soften the glass...rest awhile...

Re: Removing old carpet glue

west marine sold me a spray (small bottle) for 5.99 that promises to eat up any type of glue, including tough marine glue. I used it to loosen up a board that had been bonded in manyyeears ago. in 5 minutes it was free. the stuff works. sorry i dont have the name, but stop in, they'll know what your asking for
