I removed the oil injection system from my 91 200 Mariner. I need to know how to remove or disconnect the oil pump sensor. A friend of mine told me to unhook the purple wire going to the sensor box. Will this allow my overheat warning buzzer to still work? When I turn the key I have no buzzer at all. I want to keep my overheat warning buzzer, but I no longer need the oil pump sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The purple wire you unplugged is the power wire to the oil module you can remove the entire oil warning system but when you turn the key on it will not self test your horn. Your heat horn will still function because it is on a different system. Don't forget to mix.
