Welcome aboard! ;)

What exactly are you wanting to remove? Just the outdrive, or the entire transom assembly?

When you say it "has no power" - what does that mean? No battery?

If you are wanting to simply remove the outdrive, simply make sure it is in forward gear - you don't need power for that - then remove the trim rams from the outdrive - then remove the six nuts holding it on. It will come off then.

You have a Mercruiser what ???? V8? V6? 4 cylinder? they can all be Mercruisers

What do you to remove, the engine? or just the drive?

To put the drive in forward, just move the shift cable by hand until the shift shafts under the drive (as in the picture below) are facing fore and aft so they will slide apart.
This picture shows the shift shoes in the Neutral position.

Pull the drive first. If you cannot get it in forward gear, you can remove the lower unit first, then the upper - that way it doesn't matter if it is in forward or not.

After the drive is removed, the engine can come out easily. Unplug / disconnect the wiring and fuel. Remove the two rear mount bolts. Unbolt the front mount from the stringer and pull out the engine.

You might be able to shift it foward by way of pliers at the drive
