I am trying to replace the lower motor mounts on this engine. I have removed the motor mount nuts on the front of the yoke. The head of the motor mount bolt is on the leg side. What I am trying to figure out is how do you remove these bolts? I don't have enough clearance to pull the bolt out because it is hitting the leg. I have tried pushing the motor up while trying to remove these bolts from the yoke. I have a Seloc manaul but this is not covered in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a picture of what I have. Other than cutting these bolts, I can't figure out how to remove them since the leg housing is in the way. Was hoping someone out there has done this before and has some suggestions.

This is an old thread, I have the same issue and have not found the right answer. Maybe this will refresh some memories and help me out. Thanks

fasted1500 this is a 4 year old thread, and the mods dislike dragging up old post. Feel free to start a new topic.

On a side note if it is set up like my 115 you will probably have to loosen the top mounting bolts to get the bottoms out, but I dont know for your exact motor.

I removed my lowers by cutting the bolts and installing new ones backwards. This is only temporary because i am replacing the powerhead and my uppers are gonna need replacing also. If you do all four at once it is easy without the powerhead on. you are just loosening the lower unit. With the powerhead on, Im not sure how you would pull off that feat. Keep me posted
