I've worked on alot of ski's, not by choice, but this flywheel doesn't have the threaded holes for a puller? Anyone else done this? What have you done?

front or rear flywheel, I have not seen a front flywheel that did not have the holes for the puller, the rear one is threaded and unscrews from the crank

Re: Removing Flywheel, Kawa 770SS I Think?

This flywheel is on the front, and it really doesn't have threaded holes. I agree this is the first one I've seen too. The only thing that I did notice is that the center hole for the flywheel is threaded, but the threads stop at the top of the crankshaft. The crank does have a key and the threads stop at the top of the crank. So I think that if I got a a bolt that would thread in the flywheel it would bottom out on top of the crank and force the flywheel off? Has anyone seen or done this before? I have looked at this very closely with a mirror and this seems to be the only way?

there is a special tool ( about $20) from a dealer or aftermarket catalog, that screws into the center recess and pushes it off.

the thing on the back of the engine is called the PTO coupler.

you CAN use the proper sized bolt, but its not a common variety of bolt.

I will look on pwctoday.com for the thread and pitch of the bolt you need and post back if I can find it.
