I need to replace the ignition coils, points, and condensers on my ob but am having serious trouble removing the flywheel. I am using a 3 prong style puller and 3 ft long cheater bars and it won't budge - at all. Is there something I am missing? I am following the manual exactly - aside from using their plate style puller. Would thant make any considerable difference? thanks for the help.

Why do you need to replace all that stuff, Bdub?

I just answered your post where you don't know why it wont start.

Wholesale replacement of parts is a very expensive and inefficient way to troubleshoot. Find out what is wrong first, then replace the bad part.

I don't like the sound of that puller, surprised that JB didn't pick up on it, does it pull on the rim of the flywheel? If it does then stop using it now, unless you happen to have a spare flywheel to replace the one you are about to break!
