removing electric start from mounting bracket 1957 johnson rde-19

I am needing some "remedial" help here. I am tearing down my 1957 johnson rde-19. I cannot see how to remove the electric start from the mounting bracket. None of the manuals I have or seen online really describe how to do this. Also, any reference recommendations for better "step by step" everything will be much appreciated!

See the bolts through the length of the starter? You have to remove them, then split the starter apart to remove the bracket.
