Removing cards from motherboard?

I'm rearanging some card on my computer to make room for others. Got to swap out some PCI's for ISA'a to get another PCI card in.

Should I disable the card function in Device Manager before I shut down and pull the card(s)?

Nope, no need to, just swap them.

Yeah, your not "uninstalling" them so just shut down and make sure your grounded.

I did disable (not uninstall) the PCI network card before I removed it. My internet connection was down so I could not check responses to my question before it was time to pull the card.
