Ive got the retaining nut off and the bearing carrier out (along w/ reverse gear) but the prop shaft does not come out... do I have to dissasemble the top drive shaft part in order to remove the prop shaft? Or is there a pin I need to remove to get it out? I have been following the manual but I just cant figure it out....I have replaced the prop shaft in a cobra drive and did not have to take apart the drive or gears...

You need to remove the driveshaft and pinion gear first, then with a wiggle and a twist of the shift shaft , it comes out

All detailed in the OEM service manual.
head up to the Adults only sticky at the top of the forum and download the one for your drive.

Ok, Ive dl'ed manual 14. I'm a little intimidated by the driveshaft. To anyone that has removed it, is it difficult and how is it putting everything back together?
