does anyone have a suggestion short of using a sawz-all to try to free a stuck driveshaft from powerhead to drop lower unit to replace an impeller ?

we have a pair of '91 Johnson 200 seahorses that have been used in the Ocean.

one powerhead was replaced 2 seasons ago and driveshaft needed heat to remove it from powerhead. its looking like the second engine is following behind.

Are we sure all the bolts are out? How many are out?

Yep. Well, 7 counting the torque tab bolt but I'm sure you got 'em all.

Has the unit dropped at all?

Six bolts, eh? I count seven. Methinks you may have missed one.

I took 2 short bolts from each side in the front and two long bolts in the back.

I got all the bolts out because i was able to get it to twist from side to side a little bit, but as far as dropping down, nothing at all
