I have searched,I have not found. I'm easing into rebuilding this Buccaneer.
The prop nut is frozen. Are there any tips besides PB blaster, hammer taps,or
cheater bar?
Will heating trash anything? I know this should be basic lake side repair, but this thing is stuck. I have immobilized the prop and am turning the prop nut
CCW. The manuals just says "remove prop". Please advise,GH.

You may have heard that the Buccaneer is the "same" motor as a Johnson or Evinrude. Well, you have just discovered one of the differences. Some of them have a steel prop shaft instead of stainless steel.

You may have to heat it. But that isn't the wisest thing to do, because if you get stuff hot enough, you may destroy the rubber bushing in the prop.

Option #2 is cut it off (the nut, not the shaft, duh!)

Thanks for the reply. A little time w/PB Blaster and a 18" breaker bar got her
loose. I'm glad I didn't have to get that done out in the middle of nowhere.
Now the one out of three screws for the water pump cover that's seized to
the cover is next. It will spend the night with PB Blaster on it. Thanks again GH.
