remove oiler from mariner ???

i just purchased a 1990 mariner 90 horse to replace my 1989 farce 85 horse :) . the guy i bought it from said the oil injection failed. before purchase i disconected oil from fuel pump and ran with proper oil/gas mix. also ran compression, 140 across the board. i plan on completly removing the entire injection system. are there any precuations i should know about? anything i should or shouldn't remove. have manual coming.<br /><br />p.s. anyone want to buy a force........cheap<br /><br />thanks<br />shawn

I have A 200 Merc. Years ago I had many probs w/oil inj. Took off & mixed. No probs since<br />But it does smoke a bit @ idle. Never could get the buzzer to stop. Thats gone too!

A trick used on systems (ie. two-wheelers) where the oil system cannot be removed, is to keep it and fill it with the same mix as the main tank. This way you run on your own premix regardles of/if the built-in oil system is working.
