remove iol injection

Hi there. My motor is a Suzuki, just got it, have not run it yet, I think it is a 1982 model DT 85 , 85hp, has oil injection but I dont know if it works and I dont trust it, I would rather have the piece of mind knowing that I mixed it myself.. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks

Run it on 50:1 and monitor the level in the oil tank first. If the injection is working (I never saw one fail on a Suzi) the 25:1 mix wont hurt the engine and the oil tank level will go down. . . .and you know it is working.<br /><br />I would not remove the injection on a Suzi unless I knew it wasn't working.<br /><br />(264)

If it sat up, just make sure the oil didn't jel. I would recommend draining & put in fresh oil. You could end up with a blown engine like mine.

The oil looks like it is good, tank has a small leak and was sealed, I am just nervous about it.. I think I will pull the tank (weather permitting) this weekend, make sure there is no blockage and the do as JB say and mix 50:1, monitor from there. Thanks
