ya gotta check alignment after an engine pull. so it's gonna come off anyways. pull it and be done with it. it really aint that hard either. put in fwd. remove trim rams, remove drive...

you can try but you will need to check alignment and it takes like 10 min to take drive off , that is the easy part.

ya use an alignment bar. might as well get one now. i procrastinated for a while. i shouldn't have.. it should be one of the first specialty tools ya get after your service manual i think. in the end, if ya work on your own stuff. ya gotta have one.... it'll make ya feel ritchious knowing ya can set it upright..

iboats, or ebay, or make your own on a lathe. specs are in the archives somewhere.. many mfg. make them... glm. etc.

Going to remove engine, sure concered about getting it back in correctly, is it that hard to allign, etc

Not hard to align but you need to know how. Go to sticky and get manual.

You really should post more info. Volvo, OMC and MC all use a 3.0. And all are different in removing engine and drives.
