Removal procedure for Nissan 9.8A3 carb?

My Nissan 9.8A3 won't start after sitting for 3 months and so I started fiddling with it. So far I've figured out that gas is reaching the carburetor, but the only way she will fire is with a shot of starter fluid into the air intake, which I hate to use.

So, I'm going to pull the carb for cleaning and my question is about how to pull it correctly without removing more gear than is necessary. It looks to me like I can reach two bolts that appear to hold it to the intake manifold, so is that it? Does anything else need to come off?

Thanks

If manual choke, disengage the choke rod. Also disengage the throttle rod. Use a long extension and a 10mm socket to pull the 2 long carb mounting bolts. Once free, you can access the fuel line and disconnect it as well.

When reinstalling, make sure the throttle rod is correctly adjusted. When the correct idle rpm is achieved (on a good shop tach) with the throttle stop screw engaged, and the throttle handle at idle (with no choke) there should be just a slight play (a couple of thousandths) at the throttle rod loop.

Thanks much for your help. Since I'm not all that mechanically inclined, this information is really helpful. I've also developed the habit of taking phone camera pictures of whatever I'm working on before I start. Saved my tail a few times.

Taking pictures before and after is a must do if without experience about disassembling/assembling engine parts. Could be a warned suicide if you don't take these precautions.
