Hello I recently purchased a jackhammer amp the jh202 and I have a Tahoe 2008 with a Jensen headset. My question is concerning the wired remote, on the back of the Jensen head set there is a black cable that looks like an s video male output labeled wired remote. On my amp the connection for the remote is just a basic speaker cable connection I'm just wondering how I'm supposed to connect the remote from the amp to the Jensen headset

Re: Remote wire question

I think you're dealing with two different things. The wire coming from the head unit is for a wired remote panel. The amp is looking for a remote turn on lead. Most likely there should be a blue wire coming out of the head unit harness that is used for the amp turn on. Look up the head unit model number and try to get the wiring diagram for the correct remote turn on wire.

Take a test light and see which shows +12V when the radio is on. It's most likely the blue one. Do you have the model number of the radio?

97% sure it's the blue one. Purple is usually rear speakers. It should have a tag on it that says power antenna.
