Just as the title states I’m looking to convert what I believe is an 1984 25hp Johnson from remote to a tiller set up. Does anyone know if this is possible? Also what would all be needed? Thanks!

Can we assume it is electric start or you wouldn't be asking? Or put another way, does it have the "ears" where the tiller would attach (rope start). If it doesn't have the ears you would have to replace the steering bracket. I'd have to get out the parts books to see what else.

yes it’s an electric start, haven’t looked to see if there’s any “ears” but I will tomorrow.

You can put a tiller on a rope start, but electric start has a different steering bracket (no "ears")

model # is required to get accurate information.------Your location matters too in finding used parts.
