Hey guys I am having a little bit of a problem with my bass boat. It has remote tilt/trim on the front of the boat and on the throttle lever. Everything was working up until my last trip out. I came back with the switches on the front of the boat not working up or down. On the throttle lever up does not work but down does. On the boat itself it works just fine up and down. What could cause these problems to only to have the down on the throttle control work remotely?

Ok so I've determined that it was indeed the switch. I am finding that this part is obsolete. Any idea how I can find this part or am I best off just running a momentary up down switch?

Try taking the throttle handle assembly apart and see if you have a break in the wire going up to the switch thru the handle, you will need a right angle Phillips head driver.
I found the wires had stiffened and snapped when I pushed the throttle to wide open. I soldered some new wire in with a couple of inches extra and have had no problems since.

I ended up with a toggle switch. I pulled the wires out of the handle and didn't see anything wrong with them. Toggle switch is working fine right now until I can find a new toggle switch for the handle.
