I have an omc five liter chevy and changin the filter is a pain...located on bottom of the engine it is difficult to get at. does anyone know of a filter relocation kit?<br /><br />Scott
Scott,<br /><br />Mercruiser do a kit, but it's over the top expensive. I put a filter extention on my 4.3. Go to your local auto shop and get the adaptors and hoses, then fit it up yourself. Don't forget to add extra oil to the engine to make up for the volume in the hoses. You'll find your oil pressure stays higher longer and the engine temperature will drop a tad.<br /><br />Chris..............
