It's like a full time job, and we should treat it like one. If your girlfrien (or for our female members) boyfriend, wants to leave you, they should give you 2 weeks notice, There should be severance pay, and the day before they leave you they should have to find you a temp! :D

I also think marriage liscenses should be renewable with a test just like drivers licenses.

Like the temp idea, but most temps just don't really know what they are doing.

I guess it would depend on which temp service you use. Maybe there should be a place you could go and they would all line up so you could pick one....

Some places use temps to avoid having to paid benefits (health care, retirement, payroll taxes). It’s almost like items needed to produce a product, but is not part of the deliverable product. Some hire temps that have a very special job skill, but they don’t need that skill full time (plumber, electrician, tax accountant, or doctor). Yes, I agree, there are temps that don’t have it all together, but some are very skilled and you don’t have to have them around except when you REALLY need them.

Addressing the topic: Rent-a-date!

temps, what a concept ;) and if they don't don't work out you don't need a reason to get rid of them :D just call and get a replacement or 3!

Re: Relationships are hard!!!!!

You could use different temps for different jobs. Say ya need to look good for an office function, use a class A temp services. Need someone to serve you and the boys during your weekly poker game? Less skilled labor will work, he11 get one for each of ya. Say your have'n trouble getting your Johnson to crank on a cold morning no problem, you could call in a specialist. Think of the possibilities!! ;) ;) :D

It should cost $20,000 to get married (not counting the actual cost of the wedding and reception) and nothing to get divoriced. Might make people think twice.
