I have been unable to find a good video, guide, or post on how to install an out drive back on. When I tried it, I managed to tear the gasket ><.

Removing it was fairly simple, I knew I had to shift the boat into forward. In retro spec, I think my main issue is how my boat is parked and how I raised the front of the trailer, which lowered the stern of the boat. Also do I need to put the gears into forward to slide it on the rest of the way, granted I didn't come close.

Lastly I read some people use adhesive to hold the gasket in place, any off the shelf recommendations?

With the drive positioned upright behind the boat level the trailer to match the height or add wood to the bottom of the skeg.
large rubber ring GLUED into the gimbal housing and water inlet glued into recess
control box in full fwd, brass shoe will be in a straight line, turn the lower shift shaft fully to the right , in a straight line, this is fwd.
grease works well to hold the gasket in place
with the prop locked CCW insert drive and turn prop CCW about an inch to line the splines up`
drive will push on to within a 1/8 - 3/16 of an inch.DO NOT BEAT THE DRIVE ON

I fought with mine the first reinstall. After getting angry and thinking about it for a day I tried again. This time I turned the prop like Bt Doc posted as I put the drive on and it slid right on. Just took a couple minutes.
