I have an 1989 Thundercraft Magnum Express 245 and I cannot locate where that plate is mounted on the boat that indicates the maximum load, people capacity and other info. Can anyone give me an idea where this might be mounted on this boat.

Re: Regulation Plate

They are supposed to be "within easy sight of helm". Most I've seen are easy to locate when sitting in the capn chair.

Or, I may be wrong (someone correct me if I am) but I don't think they are required on boat size of yours (assuming a "245" is 24' loa). I think limit is 21' or 22'.

BL...

Could it be, a boat bought in the U.S.,then later taken, to Canada?

Look under the shift control. My gearshift control is mounted right on top of mine in my smaller boat. I discovered it once by accident when I was repairing the control.

Bob

I have a Thundercraft Magnum 160 and mine is mounted on the side of the dash in the walk through on the passenger side.

Re: Regulation Plate

Best bet is to contact the manufacturer. My 1988 boat has one on the console but it is faded beyond the point of being readable. Perhaps a previous owner of your boat removed it for the same reason.
