Regal 3.7 Fresh Water Cooled

Read another forum about 3.7(inline 4 cyl) and how it was one of the worst Merc produced....I just purchased a 1988 18.5 Medallion and thus far I'm happy....anyone have some feedback on this. thanks

Not sure what you read but some people swear by this engine and others swear at it. If your motor has been well maintained run it and enjoy it. I have a Regal Sebring here with a 3.7 and the customer wants to swap in a 5.0, nothing currently wrong with the 3.7 but the horror strories have him scared.
