...for it's winter rest? I recall that it was easier on the bellows to be stored in a neutral position. Am I recalling correctly or does it not matter.

In any event I would wrap the prop to keep the water out of the lower unit.

Always down (if possible) Should take prop off as well even if only to grease the shaft and put it back on.

It's nice to have the drive down as far as possible, but you still need the bow of the boat up to keep water out of the boat itself.
The bellows is actually the least of your problems. Keeping water out of the exhaust cavity behind the prop so it doesn't freeze and crack the housing is the biggest concern.
With the low design of some trailers, it might be best to just leave the drive off.

The little hotrod is on a roller trailer so it sits pretty high. I can leave the drive down and still get some bow elevation. So down it is. I will still bungee a plastic trash bag over the prop. Always do that anyway with my OMC.

Kagee, it's tough trying to adapt to these overcomplicated black anchors. You'd have to develop a sense of humor to surviive.:p
