reed valve or carb. problem

i have a 1976 70 hp 3 cyl evinrude.when i choke it,it puke gas out of the middle carb.it will start and idle good. put in fwd.gearahd advance the speed and the middle carb, start to spit gas,when i place my hand over the carb. opening it when pike up speed and run good. hav remove the reed valve assb.there is slight gap in some of the reed vavle opening.this is excepable as long is will close at the right time.if if doesn't close they need to be replace.have pump up the fuel lime bulb,it stayed frim for 7 hour so it is not the needle and seat. any help with this problem,thank tou kindly sambaylor.

Sam.... The clue is in your statement of: "i place my hand over the carb. opening it when pick up speed and run good."

That indicates that the craburetor is fouled. clean it and pay particular attention to the brass high speed jet that is located in the bottom center of the float chamber..... make sure that jet is perfectly clean. I clean them manually with a piece of single strand wire.
